Galston Concerts Go International

The Galston Concerts will present international performers in Galston Uniting Church on Sunday 29 May, a follow-up to their successful post-COVID return to ‘live shows’ with a Young Performers Gala 27 March.

Galston Concerts

Three’s Company, a trio of soprano, clarinet and piano, will finally present their long-awaited return to Galston after lockdown cancellations of their concerts scheduled in 2020 and 2021.

It’s worth the wait – for the audience to enjoy the great mix of voice, woodwind and keyboard colours, but also for the musicians, frustrated by the shutdown to live music events locally, nationally and overseas, their frequent concert roster in normal times of open borders.

29 May will off a rich mix of Classics and contrasts, from the highlight of Schubert’s Shepherd on the Rock, through arias by Mozart, to cabaret songs and folk dances.

As an added bonus for Hills and Hornsby district music lovers Three’s Company, for all their international pedigree, are locals. Pianist Tonya Lemoh, a Normanhurst resident, maintains (when borders allow) an especially European career from frequent visits to family in Denmark.

Clarinettist Deborah de Graaff, a Berowra resident, includes London, Munich and a more exotic Vietnam in her past concert successes.

Living a little further south on our ‘north shore’, soprano Narelle Yeo’s career has had a USA especially West Coast focus.

A 2pm start – with the bonus of a 1.30 pm organ prelude. To enquire about bookings phone Elizabeth Garlick at the church on 9653 2039 or Robert Harris on 0428 248 348.March.
