James Wallace MP officially opened the annual Warrah Specialist School Spring Fair held in Dural on Saturday 12th September. James spoke about Warrah’s important role not only in the lives of its students, but also in those of their families and the wider community.
From growing and selling its fresh biodynamic produce at its farm shop and café, to the enrichment, social engagement and learning opportunities it offers, Warrah is a truly valued part of the community. The Fair was a great success, with visitors spoilt for choice with the wide range of food stalls, entertainment, kids’ activities and fresh produce on display.
Dural RFS was on hand to talk all things fire safety, while Tangara School For Girls ran a very popular cupcake stall. If you didn’t make it to the Fair, I encourage you to drop in and visit the Warrah organic farm shop and Waaia café soon.
In a fitting acknowledgement of Warrah’s positive impact, School Principal, Dr Dawn Grant-Skiba was recently awarded two highly regarded national awards, recognising her leadership and commitment to inclusive education.
Dawn won a 2026 Schools Plus Teaching Award and was the inaugural recipient of the Lee Casuscelli Excellence in Special Education Award. This award honours the legacy of respected educator and disability advocate Lee Casuscelli.
