Soroptimist International Of The Hills District Is Hosting A International Women’s Day Breakfast

Soroptimist International is a global movement of women, with members belonging to more than 3,000 clubs in 126 countries/territories, spread over 5 Federations.

Members of Clubs represent a wide range of occupations, talents and interests. The theme “Soroptimists – Educate to Lead” with a focus to Education, Enable and Empower provides opportunities for members to improve the lives of women and girls worldwide.

In 2021, SI of the Hills celebrated 40 years of community service, advocacy work and fundraising in the local community. Two events featured in the club’s celebrations: the opening of a section in the Roxborough Rose Garden in Baulkham Hills and being the recipients of two awards at the recent Hills Council Australia Day Awards.

The club will start its 2022 Advocacy and Fundraising Campaign by hosting an International Women’s Day Breakfast at Rydges Norwest on Friday 11th March. The Keynote Speaker will be Lucinda Brogden AM who will present on the IWD 2022 campaign theme: #BreakThe Bias and how we will collectively image a gender equal world!
