Dural Rural Fire Brigade

PACIFIC HILLS FAIR
As part of the Rural Fire Brigade Get Ready Weekend campaign, Dural Brigade had a crew at the Pacific Hills Christian School fete.

It was a successful day of helping people plan for the upcoming fire season, providing advice about the best way to prepare their homes, and showing the next generation of firefighters around our trucks. We’ll next be at the Dural Public School Country Fair on Sunday the 22nd of October. Come and say to our firefighters, let the kids look around the truck and discuss your bushfire survival plan.

HAZARD REDUCTIONS
Dural Brigade has been part of a number of successful hazard reduction burns in the last month. Along with our own local burn on Quarry Rd, we have assisted other brigades with burns in their area, most significantly the Charlton creek burn in Galston. These hazard reduction burns are vital in reducing the bushfire risk in The Hills and Hornsby. As the bushfire season approaches, the RFS will be continuing efforts to reduce bushfire risk across the state.
