The club met at the Kenthurst Uniting Church on 21August to hear Noel Phelan, pictured, talk about the cruise ship Costa Concordia disaster in January 2012. The wreck cost the lives of 32 passengers and saw the captain jailed.
Noel, an experienced sailor, told the saga very eloquently and with excellent visual aids.
Our next meeting is Monday 17 September at Kenthurst Uniting Church. Visitors welcome! Members keep active with walking ventures and social events. The Club has a trip to Canberra planned for later in the year.
