Members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook have experienced some wonderful outings in the past month. A bus load participated in a delightful day in the Blue Mountains, enjoying High Tea and a history tour at the Hydro Majestic in Medlow Bath.
A social drive followed by lunch at Avoca took us to another part of our great city and Dining Out took us more locally to Bella Vista. Another highlight was the Melbourne Cup function with a surprising number of happy winners in both the racing and fashion stakes.
To burn off the great meals, we embraced our usual physical activities of golf, lawn bowls and added Ten Pin Bowling! We found that we had not been totally deserted by the Ten Pin skills of our youth – quite exciting! A trip on the Metro to walk from Barangaroo around the city made us feel even more virtuous.
Our regular activity groups, book club, craft, Money Matters and some excellent shows rounded out the month.
