Cherrybrook Probus Ponderings: A Time of Contrasts

A time of contrasts

Recent activities of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook have been most varied. Members participated in many outdoor events including a wonderful walk with furry friends at our own local Fagan Park, a visit to the beautiful Boongala Gardens at Kenthurst and sports of golf, tennis and lawn bowls.

Indoors, we have enjoyed a Good Old Days concert at the Sydney Town Hall, the thriller Ghost Train by the Castle Hill Players and two fabulous productions, Sister Act and Sunset Boulevarde – a very cultural time!

Our latest meetings were most diverse with a Trade Travel presentation to inform members of group tour options for the future and an extremely engaging and thought-provoking talk on the Middle East – so very timely! The Money Matters group received valuable information on important aspects to consider regarding financial planning.

In addition to many regular activity group gatherings, there are special upcoming events including Ten Pin bowling, a social drive to Avoca, high tea at the Hydro Majestic, dining out and Melbourne Cup celebrations.

If you are active retirees or even semi-retired and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.

Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month. For information, please contact Lynn on 0414848413. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club to share the good times.
