On Monday, 8 March 2021 Anderson Boemi Lawyers hosted a lunch in appreciation and recognition of the hardworking women of their office for International Women’s Day.
Anderson Boemi Lawyers is a law firm in Round Corner Dural that was opened in 2012 by Marissa Boemi and her business partner, Warwick Anderson. Marissa was only 25 years old at the time. Marissa plays a vital role in not only undertaking a variety of complex legal work but additionally overseeing the management and administerial tasks involved in keeping a business running. She has also played a pivotal role in many community fundraising events such as The Vinnies CEO Sleepout in 2020 where over $15,000.00 was raised by local members of the community for charity and substantial donations were made to The Hills Women’s Shelter and homeless people in the Hawkesbury.
Anderson Boemi Lawyers celebrated International Women’s day in honour of our fellow female staff members, clients, and women all around the world (even fellow male colleagues jumped on board!). It was an honour for them to commemorate the cultural, political, socioeconomic, and other achievements of the important women in our circle and around the world.
Although, women have come along way, it is still important to continually highlight and address the barriers experienced by women from different backgrounds and cultures. It is imperative to highlight the issues that women face today and band together to continue fighting for gender parity and women’s rights.
