A Wet Wedding With Luck On It’s Side

On the very wet afternoon of Friday the 29th of January 2021 local Kenthurst residents, Lauren Francis and Shane Hogan were married. Pearl Bay, Mosman was the original ceremony location, but given the inclement weather, the ceremony was relocated to the reception venue, Orso Bayside Restaurant, just across the road. Nothing could dampen the high spirits of the couple or guests as given the uncertainty of gatherings everyone was thrilled that the wedding could proceed. With no bridal party, it was a simple ceremony exquisite and stylish. Lauren looked stunning and Shane, sharp, but the expressions and radiating glow of Lauren and Shane made this loving event extra special.

For those who have not made the connection, I, Mary being the editor of The Dooral Roundup am also a Marriage Celebrant. When I had my initial chat with Lauren regarding her wedding plans, each had no idea that we were indirectly linked through the Dooral Roundup. Shane, a local plumber (Hogans Plumbing), has been a long term advertiser and supporter of the magazine. The collaboration between Lauren, Shane and myself was a harmonious fit, and the occasion was filled with an abundance of joy.

Interestingly rain on a wedding day is considered good luck, symbolising fertility and cleansing.

I am sure that both Lauren and Shane will have a long and happy future together. Love to you both. – Mary
