100th Birthday Celebrations

On Monday 16th November 2020, Pam Carey of Hornsby celebrated her 100th Birthday Pam was surrounded by a gathering of family and close friends at an Afternoon Tea at Lachlan’s, Old Government House Parramatta Park on Sunday, November 15th. A delightful afternoon was enjoyed by all attending.

Mrs. Carey has been for the last thirty-five years, a valued member of Soroptimist International of Hornsby where she has taken an active part in the organisation of the club and all its many activities with humour, charm and grace.

Soroptimist International is a worldwide group of over 75,000 women who are committed to a world where women and girls together; achieve their individual and collective potential; realise aspirations and have an active voice in creating strong, peaceful communities worldwide.

Amongst the many activities supported by Soroptimist International of Hornsby, are the Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s Shelter, Beecroft House, Days for Girls, the Dish, Project Humanity and the Smith Family’s Learning for Life Program.

Internationally, SI Hornsby is supporting “ The Road to Equality ”which takes action and advocates on topics affecting women and girls worldwide.

As well as celebrating Pam’s 100 th Birthday, Soroptimist International is celebrating 100 years of worldwide service assisting women and girls in times of pandemics, conflict and disasters.
