Galston High School students have once again achieved extraordinary HSC results across a wide range of subjects.

In the 2020 HSC, Galston High School students received numerous distinguished achiever merit listings across the curriculum and truly exceptional Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) results. A “distinguished achiever” is a student who received a result in the highest band possible for a course.

Dux of the Class of 2020, Mei Lin Meyers achieved an ATAR 97.15 with distinguished achiever merit listing for English Extension 1, Biology, Society & Culture and Visual Arts.

Matt Sultana achieved an ATAR 96.70 with distinguished achiever merit listing for Mathematics Extension 1, Mathematics Extension 2, Physics, Information Processes & Technology.

Maggie Clifton achieved an ATAR 95.15 with distinguished achiever merit listing for Mathematics Advanced and Biology. Of particular note she received a “top achiever” merit listing for having achieved one of the top places in the course, ranking 6th in the state.

Emily Hankins achieved an ATAR 91.95 with distinguished achiever merit listing for Agriculture.

Other distinguished achievers include James Todman for Engineering Studies, Camryn Pryke for Community and Family Studies and Tanesya Conn for Industrial Technology.

Congratulations to all of Galston High School’s 2020 Year 12 students for fantastic results and well done to their teachers for providing the care, guidance and expertise that Matt Sultana fuelled their success.
