Launches, Lunches and Love?

Life is busy for the members of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook. Fortunately, this February has an extra day this year to accommodate all the activities. The month began with Guest Speaker, Gary Norman Smith, who provided interesting and previously unknown insights into ‘Partners of the Prime Ministers’.

Special events included a social drive and lunch at Cottage Point Cafe, fish and chips at Berowra Waters and a wonderful (and romantic) cruise on the Hawkesbury River including flowers and lunch for Valentine’s Day.

Our interest groups cater to a variety of pastimes including golf, bowls, ten pin bowling, craft, theatre parties and movies, garden lovers, dining out, money matters, cards and games, book club and happy hour gatherings.

Upcoming events include our Changeover Lunch, the Premier’s Gala Concert, a visit to Sydney Zoo, a theatre production of the Castle Hill Players, evening dining at Thornleigh and a public transport day for a walk from Manly to Harbord.

If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.

Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month. For information please contact Ross on 0411104863. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club to share the good times.
