Self Confidence in the World Today

Everyone has a desire to be recognized. There are people in life who constantly want to be validated for what they have done.

Today, many people check to see how many people have clicked the ‘Like’ button or left a nice comment after posting something on social media. If they don’t get much response, they feel like they’re worthless and they’ve lost touch with people. They even feel lonely and isolated.

We could say that people who are always thirsty for approval and praise from others are not free because their happiness is dependent on others.

If you are truly confident in what you have done, then no matter what the outcome is, you should be proud of it, acknowledge it, and accept it positively. That’s why we ourselves need to recognize who we are. We should not be who the world says that we are.

I want to share a Bible passage from the letter of Paul to the Galatians, “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” (Gal 1:10)

You are invited to find your confidence in life again and see who you are and whose you are before God this Easter.
