Our Rotary Club has been busy as usual! Christine Owen our District Governor, attended our meeting on 25th September, giving a presentation of this year’s global and district visions.
We also welcomed Oosha from Adambakkam Rotary Club in India. Oosha presented us with a flag, and we responded with a Polo Shirt. Great to have visitors sharing their experiences.
Our Club has donated and installed a life-saving AED Defibrillator into the Kenthurst Community Bus.
Hills Hearing representatives attended our meeting on Monday 9th October. Shirley gave a presentation on the importance of looking after our hearing and conducted hearing tests for willing members. The evening was a very informative one.
Dr Leonard Smith is a local artist and philanthropist. The Club was lucky enough to have him speak about his life and passion for his art and culture. Len graciously donated a piece of his art for the club to auction at a future date.
The club also celebrated Hat Day for Mental Illness and Oktoberfest at the same meeting, making for an entertaining evening
