Rotary Club of West Pennant Hills and Cherrybrook

Our Club has embraced Rotary’s campaign against Domestic and Family Violence and held a Magnificent Men’s Breakfast at Sunnyside Cafe, West Pennant Hills.

We helped at Cherrybrook Primary School’s fete on 19 November, assisting the bump in and bump out of 20 food trucks and 20 market stalls, and running the Santa Photo Stall. One of our members took on the role of Santa’s Elf!

We assisted the Kenthurst Rotary in a big project, repacking 10,000 cases of wine to be sent to the United States. It was a great collaborative event and we had lots of fun.

At our Kris Kringle night on 27 November at The Vicar, Dural we collected food to make up hampers for Hands & Feet at Cherrybrook Uniting Church.

Members of our Club participated in a ‘Reclaim The Night’ walk on 1 December at Arthur Whitling Park in Castle Hill, to raise awareness of Domestic and Family Violence.

On 3 December the Club held a very successful Christmas Market with food, drinks, craft, lots of good Christmas shopping and even pet friendly Christmas photos with Santa. This year we had over 30 stalls. Members of the C3 Church at Cherrybrook sang Christmas carols which everyone loved. All proceeds went to Domestic and Family Violence Charities and other Rotary charities.

The Club will assist the C3 Church at Cherrybrook with their Carols by Candlelight event on 10 December by running a BBQ for around 200 people.

Rotary’s ‘Trees of Joy’ will be up at Cherrybrook Village Shopping Centre and Westleigh Village Shopping Centre until 10 December. Please visit our trees to select a bauble and help put some joy into Christmas for those less fortunate.
