July is a busy month for our group; celebrating ‘Christmas Lunch’ at the Galston Club.
Later this month our AGM will take place, an important event on the calendar as our committee positions are filled, re-shuffled or changed and we ‘officially’ start another year.
Interestingly, early July is the Dalai Lama’s birthday; now celebrated each year on 6th July, the “Universal Day of Compassion”. He is the 14th Dalai Lama and is now 89 years old. Long may these significant milestones last in the times ahead!
Something that does last for our members is the joy of quilting: making quilts, giving quilts, the planning and preparation of quilts and most of all, the companionship that a common interest engenders, which is quite remarkable.
No air tickets to Paris are required here, there is GOLD to be won at home and PBs to be achieved. Call in, check us out, and Let’s DO IT TOGETHER!
Meetings are held at the Community Health Centre, The Glade, Galston on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Wednesday of each month at 9.30am.
