This month, our group ventured to the picturesque Hawkesbury region to visit The Secret Garden—a not-for-profit community hub nestled on 15 acres at Western Sydney University, Hawkesbury and managed by North West Disability Services (NWDS).
The garden offers a welcoming space for the community to connect, learn, and grow.
We enjoyed a guided tour of the facilities, followed by a relaxed lunch in the serene surroundings. Many of us couldn’t resist bringing a piece of the garden home, purchasing a variety of plants from the on-site nursery.
Back at our monthly meeting, we welcomed a representative from Service NSW who delivered an informative presentation on a “Guide to Older Driver Licensing”—a helpful guide full of practical advice and important updates.
This month also saw the introduction of a new and exciting segment: Show and Tell. Each meeting, a member is invited to give a short presentation on a hobby or collection they’re passionate about. It’s a wonderful way to learn more about each other.
Round Corner Dural Probus Club offer a range of activities each month. Meetings are held at the Galston Club on the second Monday of each month at 9.30 am.
We look forward to welcoming new members and visitors.
