Recently The Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook celebrated its Changeover Lunch with an attendance of 105 members. In reference to incoming President Jenni’s career in education her arrival was heralded by two ‘naughty schoolboys’ who were kept in check by her escorts.
While all are mindful of the responsibilities of the President and her Management Committee the fun indicates the happy vibe of the club in melding great organisation with good times. The first of Jenni’s meetings involved welcoming a new member with more to come next month when we will also be participating in a trivia quiz.
All regular activities continued with strong support and recent special events included theatre outings to ‘Annie’, ‘And Then There Were None’ and local productions at Castle Hill, a social drive through the Hills to Tractor 828 at Ebenezer, a walk around Bicentennial Park, a trip to Western Sydney Airport and Happy Hour in Cherrybrook keeping all entertained.
Upcoming outings include Ten Pin Bowling, MJ the Musical and a day at the Hawkesbury Races.
If you are active retirees or even semi-retired and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.
