The last meeting of the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook acknowledged the two year anniversary of the coronation of King Charles III with a trivia quiz to determine Monarchists or Republicans among its members. Competition was so fierce you would have thought the Crown Jewels were on offer as the prize! A bit of fun was followed by lunch and games.
Other events included a wonderful outing to the uplifting show, ‘Annie the Musical’, a local production of ‘Glorious’ by the Castle Hill Players, a visit to see the development of the Western Sydney Airport and an exciting Race Day at Hawkesbury.
Probus Club Marks Coronation Anniversary with Lively Trivia.
Interest groups offer physical activity in the form of Ladies’ and Men’s Golf, Ten Pin Bowling, Lawn Bowls, Garden visits and walks to destinations all over Sydney. Mental stimulation is provided through thought provoking Book Club discussions, craft afternoons and Money Matters topics.
Upcoming events include an excursion to the Sydney Museum, a social drive to the Wyong Milk Factory and later, Christmas in July.
If you are active retirees or even semi-retired and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.
Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month. For information please contact Lynn on 0414 848 413. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club to share the good times.
