On Australia Day – David Elliott MP

On Australia Day I joined veterans and volunteers from the RSL Castle Hill sub-branch at the Castlebrook Memorial Park at their annual Flag Planting commemorative event.

Sub-branch member Mike Lee established this ceremony in 2007 on Australia Day as a way to remember those who had served their country.

This event is an excellent way to start our 2022 Memorial Services to Veterans, especially given that I am now the Minister for Veterans.

I was very pleased to accept the invitation from The Hills Musical Theatre Company to be their Patron this year.

The Hills Musical Theatre Company is based in the Balcombe Heights Estate and is working on two productions for this year.

The first one in May is The High School Musical and the second one in November is The Sound of Music. Both productions will be held at Model Farms High School Auditorium.

Travelling to and from Baulkham Hills North Public School will be safer when students return from holidays with the existing school zone to be extended along Parraweena Avenue.

Students at Baulkham Hills North Public School access the gate fronting Parraweena Reserve regularly and are able to enter and leave the school via this gate, and are dropped off and picked up here.

The extension of the School Zone along Parraweena Avenue will cover this area where the access gate sits.

The NSW Seniors Festival runs from Friday, 25 March to Sunday, 3 April. The NSW Government hosts the Premier’s Gala Concerts each year to thank seniors for their contributions to our communities.

Free tickets for the 2022 Seniors Festival Premier’s Gala Concerts will be available through Ticketek from 9am Friday 28 January.

Christine Anu, Shannon Noll and Phil Burton from Human Nature will lead the line-up for the highly anticipated Premier’s Gala Concerts.

The Government will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation to ensure the Premier’s Gala Concerts are run safely.
