Rotary Club of Kenthurst

Kenthurst Rotary Club Spreads Holiday Cheer with Bunnings BBQs, Thanksgiving Feasts, and Carols in the Park!

Bunnings BBQs
Wet but worth it! That was the sentiment at our latest Bunnings BBQ held at Dural on 25th November. Club members braved the elements to raise funding to put towards our many community events. It was our last fundraising BBQ for 2023. We shall be back in 2024 on the 4th Saturday of each month. See you there!

Chris Gaskin, Dawn Chang, Anthony Battah, Marie Beck, Mike O’Connell and David Beck

Carols in the Park
The extreme heat may have kept the crowd numbers down, but it didn’t stop the enjoyment of those that braved the conditions. The Rotary Club of Kenthurst would like to thank all the stage acts that kept the crowd entertained for the evening. A special shout out to the Rock N Soul Choir that had young and old captivated. Santa arrived via fire engine, courtesy of Kenthurst RFS and we even arranged for it to snow much to the delight of the crowd.

Thanksgiving Celebrations
In honour of our Hawaiian member Dawn Chang, the club celebrated Thanksgiving on 27th November. Dawn gave a talk on what Thanksgiving means to her. Our Sergeant’s session was a Thanksgiving trivia event with American treats as prizes. We all dressed in something red, white & blue and played Ladder Toss. It was a very funny evening.
