REPAIRS TO GALSTON GORGE GOING WELL ALL SET TO REOPEN
I have been following the repairs to Galston Road through the Gorge very closely and Transport for NSW have informed me that work is going very well and without any unforeseen delays. It has also been re-enforced to me that the work currently being undertaken in the Gorge will greatly reduce the risk of future closures. I am pleased to say the reopening of the road is on track for early October and once I have the exact reopening details, I will advise residents.
I was thrilled to see the brand-new amenities block at Ern Holmes Oval at Pennant Hills Park, being put to good use after recently opening. These new facilities were delivered through a NSW Sports Fund grant of nearly 1 million dollars.
The new amenities are benefiting a number of junior sports clubs, specifically Pennant Hills Junior AFL, Hornsby and District Little Athletics and Pennant Hills Football juniors. This is particularly beneficial for these club’s female members with the inclusion of new female-friendly change rooms.
Finally, with the HSC exams about to start I would like to wish the very best to all Year 12 students across the Hornsby electorate. Last year, despite the many pandemic caused interruptions, the results were excellent in Hornsby and I am confident this year will be equally impressive
