Free Tutoring In 2021

By Ray Williams

For the first time in NSW, students will receive free tutoring in 2021 thanks to a $337 million program as part of the 2020-2021 Budget. This program is set to increase the ongoing support for students’ education after a disruptive school year. The program will not only support our students, but also provide employment opportunities for qualified teachers and university tutors who may be short on work.

SCHOOL BUILDING BLITZ
Thanks to the new $120 million Metro Renewal Program community funded school infrastructure projects will be accelerated to deliver modern facilities to students and communities. This program will deliver a much-needed boost, not just to school infrastructure and the local economy but also to the morale of school communities. This funding is hugely valuable to everyone in Castle Hill as this will benefit schools and see jobs and funding flow into our community as we aim to use local contractors and suppliers for these projects.

FREE PRESCHOOL
The NSW Government is continuing free education at state funded preschools until the end of 2021. This funding was initially brought in with our COVID-19 Response; the free preschool initiative has saved countless services and kept children learning during their essential early years. Families will have certainty moving into 2021, knowing that regardless of their financial situation their child will be able to continue with their preschool education.

TIS THE SEASON
With the festive season just around the corner, I’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas. This has been a tough year for everyone, and I am looking forward to 2021 bringing us all Peace, Love, Health and Happiness.
