Dural Bowling Club heads into its 60th anniversary year in August 2026 carrying both the sting of a narrow season exit and the quiet satisfaction of a squad that played well above expectations. It’s a mix that the club seems comfortable holding.
The pennant season ended with a loss to Pennant Hills in the final group game, which knocked Dural out before the playoffs. On paper, that’s a tough finish. But the manner of the season told a different story.
Players across the squad performed consistently, and several newcomers picked up competitive experience that should pay off when the next pennant campaign comes around.
The timing matters. The club turns 60 in August 2026, a milestone shaped in part by the amalgamation of the original Dural Country Club with Parramatta Leagues, a structural change that gave the bowling club firmer ground to stand on. Building a younger, more competitive pennant squad fits neatly into that picture.
