Let’s End Stereotypes Together

Celebrating your birthday is always an important day, but for Angela, who was born with Down Syndrome, it’s a double celebration because it also falls on World Down Syndrome Day.

On this day, people across the world shine a light on current stereotypes and celebrate each individual and their contribution.

Down Syndrome: Let’s End Stereotypes Together

Angela shared the day with friends and staff at Dulkara, which is part of Inala, a disability service provider located in Cherrybrook. Through her variety of programs, Angela is able to develop her artistic skills and follow programs she enjoys. This includes participating in the cooking program, as well as art and candle-making.

CEO Alexandra Davis believes this is how Inala is able to ensure each individual can live a full and meaningful life.

“We offer everything from pottery to pilates and film-making to cooking, there is a program for everyone,” Mrs Davis said. Inala Disability Services, 99 Franklin Rd, Cherrybrook NSW 2126, 02 9680 1000, inala.org.au
