Christmas in July proved a highlight among many events for the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook.
A visit to Camden Valley Inn provided an opportunity to observe the historic sights of Camden on route to a sumptuous Christmas lunch and merry frolics with ‘Elvis’. Dining Out this month sampled Lebanese cuisine and our cultural appetite was satisfied with a trip to ‘Chicago’, providing a wonderful afternoon’s entertainment.
We left tapping our toes and in awe of the fabulous talent in our city. However, life is not all about food, drink and dancing with members participating in a great local walk through the Cumberland State Forest. Our next walk takes us further afield involving ferry travel and lunch at Abbotsford. Cold but dry weather has allowed the return of golf and bowls and garden lovers to enjoy a sunny day at Darling Harbour in the Chinese Gardens. The Money Matters group covered the important topics of Scam awareness and AI and the creative pursuits at craft and book club continued.
If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you. Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month.
