Last month Dural participated in the Hornsby/Ku-Ring-Gai district exercise, where local brigades come together to prepare for the fire season.
Exercises tested navigating and map bearings, calculating the size of fires, medical emergencies, and what to do if a fire was approaching and there was no means of escape.
These scenarios are intended to challenge crews and ensure that all brigades are up to date on firefighting techniques.
It was a great training day for our members and our teams came 5th overall within our district. Great work team Dural and thank you to all those who helped to make the day happen.
