Already home to a thriving Men’s Shed, The Centre at Dural has been looking for more ways to reach out to some of the older populations nearby. Angie, our resident Nonna, saw an opportunity to do what she does best, entertain and put on a great lunch!
Following Covid shut downs, and dreaming of travelling abroad, she came up with the idea of coming together to watch a travel video of a far off location, following it up with a themed lunch to really immerse yourself in the culture for a day. Her first lunch was a huge hit, and the monthly (or sometimes bi-monthly) lunches have grown on a life of their own!

Locals have been journeying with us to Greece, Turkey, Italy and more, enjoying delicious two course meals with friends at our café. We are heading to Italy on the 14th November, Greece on the 21st and 28th November and a special festive visit to Christmas Markets around the world on the 12th December.
In 2024, The Centre is also expanding its popular Over 55s Movement class, offering a class every weekday. This low-impact class is a great way to maintain fitness and independence in a supportive and encouraging environment.
