Cherrybrook Probus Ponderings – Busy Times

The Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook has enjoyed a range of events over the past month. Outings included a delightful walk around the northern beaches, a wonderful performance at the Premier’s Gala Concert followed by lunch, a scenic social drive to Cottage Point Café in perfect weather and a trip to Sydney Zoo. As always our sport and interest groups provided regular activities for fitness and fun.

The March meeting saw the election of a new committee for the coming year and the induction of two new members making a total of thirty. This was followed by a thought-provoking and most relevant presentation by Chris McNicol. He spoke from his personal experiences enlightening us on ‘The Middle East and its Conflicts’.

Shortly we will formally thank the outgoing office bearers and welcome the new at our Changeover lunch, visit the Westmead Institute for Research, enjoy dining out at Thornleigh, a social drive to the Central Coast and several theatre outings including ‘Caravan’, ‘& Juliet’ and the ‘Good Old Days’ concert.

If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.

Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month. For information please contact Lynn on 0414848413. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club to share the good times.
