Recently The Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook celebrated its Changeover Lunch inducting President Norman and his new Management Committee. Attendance was wonderful with 108 members sharing the occasion and eagerly anticipating the ‘new’ year.
The first meeting under Norman’s stewardship involved welcoming 5 new members and a presentation by Preet from Services NSW to increase everyone’s awareness of the benefits available to older members of the community. Judging by the number of questions and appointments booked we have much to learn!
All the regular activities including golf, bowls, tennis, craft and book clubs, money matters continued with strong support and special monthly events included dining out at Pear Thai, Grease at the Capitol Theatre for a toe tapping time, a social drive to Patonga with lunch at the Boat House and our Happy Hour in Cherrybrook which kept all entertained.
Upcoming outings include a Mystery Bus Trip, a walk from Meadowbank to Concord, Ten Pin Bowling and a day at the Wyong Races.
If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.
Our meetings are held at the Cherrybrook Community and Cultural Centre on the first Thursday of each month. For current information please contact Lynn on 04 1484 8413.
We look forward to warmly welcoming you to our Probus Club to share the good times.
