Caddies Creek Reserve in Beaumont Hills is on the brink of becoming The Hills Shire’s premier football facility, as the local council has initiated the search for a long-term football partner to support the development of Stage 2.
Mayor Dr. Michelle Byrne highlighted the project’s potential to elevate this already spacious sports complex, which is strategically located near Rouse Hill Town Centre and public transport links via the North-West T-way and Metro stations.
The proposed partnership is set to enhance local football opportunities, including the addition of four full-sized fields, mini small-sided football fields, and a new amenities building.
As the region experiences rapid population growth and a ten percent increase in football registrations in 2024, the need for expanded sports facilities has become imperative.
The council has actively sought partnerships to create pathways for elite participation in popular sports, with existing premier facilities for basketball, tennis, AFL, cricket, and rugby league, and plans for further developments in football, hockey, and rugby union.
This partnership at Caddies Creek Reserve Stage 2 is an essential step toward realizing this vision. Mayor Byrne expressed optimism that the initiative will provide residents with access to exceptional sporting opportunities, possibly leading to the discovery of future stars like the Matildas or Socceroos.
Since its opening in August 2018, Caddies Creek Reserve has featured three full-sized football fields, a baseball diamond, two amenities buildings, a playground, and a shared pathway network.
The area’s recreational offerings expanded further in 2024 with the introduction of Beaumont Hills Park, a skate park next to the reserve.
Following community consultation in October 2021, the council adopted the Draft Master Plan for Caddies Creek Sports Complex – Stage 2, which promises to deliver additional fields, a new amenities building, enhanced parking, and improved access from Windsor Road and Sanctuary Drive, solidifying Caddies Creek Reserve’s role as a central hub for football in the region.
