The Kuring-Gai Police Area Command and The Hills Police Area Command are appealing to the community for assistance in identifying a woman who, unfortunately, passed away after being struck by a ute in Dural yesterday afternoon, 18 November.
The incident occurred at around 4:30 PM at the Old Northern Road, Dural. The woman is believed to be in her 70s.
Emergency services attended the scene, and despite efforts, the woman succumbed to her injuries. She has not yet been formally identified.
The driver of the ute, a 28-year-old man, stopped to assist and has been charged with negligent driving occasioning death.
The Police are requesting residents to check in on their elderly relatives and neighbours, such as those they haven’t seen or spoken to since yesterday afternoon. Police say this would greatly help authorities in identifying the woman and notifying the family.
