Let’s Talk About Mental Health in The Hills

Mark Hodges | Member of Castle Hill

This October, we highlight Mental Health Month, a national initiative encouraging open conversations about mental health and wellbeing.

This year’s theme, “Let’s Talk About It,” focuses on starting those important conversations. Mental health touches us all, whether through a friend, family member, or ourselves. Now is the time to break the silence-let’s make talking about mental health as natural as talking about physical health.

We are encouraged to connect with family, friends, colleagues, and the community. Building these connections and sharing experiences are vital for well-being. Open conversations can improve psychological health and overall wellness.

Through unity and compassion, we can create an environment where everyone feels empowered to discuss mental health, seek support, and find comfort. While Mental Health Month ends soon, the conversation must continue daily.

Let’s keep the conversation going- together, we can create a community where everyone feels heard and supported.
