By now a lot of us are getting ready for Mothers Day, which occurs on the second Sunday every May.
If you are going to buy mum a bunch of flowers, Carnations represent love and appreciation and generally accepted symbols of Mother’s Day, as are Tulips and Lilies.
Often the challenge is what to buy a mum that says she doesn’t need anything. Most Mums would love to see their children, but often time and distance make this difficult.
If you can’t be with your mum this year, how about writing a handwritten card or letter to her? Nowadays when so much communication is electronic, a beautiful keepsake she can hold will be a valued gesture.
Another way to show you care is to treat her with a meal or do some chores around the house, so she can have a rest.
Mums do so much for everyone else, but try to remember when she has mentioned something she liked, just for herself, and try to make that come true for her. She will be thrilled you were listening!
However you celebrate your mother and all she has done for you, we wish all the mums a fantastic Mother’s Day!
