Many Australians have fond memories of The Salvation Army Band playing Christmas Carols in residential streets at Christmastime.
It was always a memorable and happy occasion when the Salvos would come around our homes playing and singing Christmas carols. It is a cherished memory for many readers.
On Tuesday 5th December the Sydney Veterans Band of The SalvationArmy will be presenting a free Christmas concert at The Salvation Army 277 New Line Road Dural (entry from Old Northern Road) at 10am. Come and hear your favourite Christmas music played by a genuine and most experienced group of Salvos. This concert will be followed by a free lunch.
This is certainly a date not to be missed!
Below is a photo of 3 Hills residents (Gordon Bowie, Allan Snitch and Jim Muir) who are members of The Salvation Army Sydney Veterans Band, Looks like they are in good form and have been rehearsing for the concert.
