Glenhaven resident (formerly of Kenthurst), Robyn Kidd, passed away in late November 2024, after a long battle with her health, aged 75.
The daughter of Mack and Bessie Smith of Kenthurst, Robyn grew up in the local area, attending Kenthurst Primary School, and Northmead High School. During those days, Northmead High School was the only high school for the Hills area, north of Parramatta.
Robyn married in 1972 to Kevin, with sons Paul born in 1974 and Peter born 1977. Widowed in 1983, Robyn went to Baulkham Hills TAFE to become a qualified chef. She worked as a chef at childcare centres over many years, and ran her own cake decorating business. She was involved with her mother, Bessie, with the Country Women’s Association (CWA) for many years. Robyn kept her membership with the Galston CWA Branch, active since her own mother passed away in 2008.
During many years, when living at Kenthurst, Robyn was active with Christ Church Anglican Church Kenthurst, as a Sunday school teacher, and the church choir.
Robyn is survived by her son Paul, ABS Conveyancing, daughter in law Sony, Delhi Heights Indian Restaurant, and second son, Peter.
