Rotary Club of Kenthurst

Model United Nations Assembly

The Rotary Club of Kenthurst sponsored students from Hills Grammar School at MUNA this year.  Model United Nations Assembly is a project organised and sponsored by Rotary Clubs to build international understanding and promote goodwill for world peace.

Christa, Alex, Anshita and Satvik presented their experience to our club members at a recent meeting.  The students represented Jordan and India during the two-day event. It was evident that they valued the opportunity and enjoyed the event.

Our members remarked afterwards how wonderful it is to see such vibrant and enthusiastic members of the upcoming generation.

Kenthurst Transitional Housing Project

After months of fundraising and hard work, an unused house has been transformed into housing for women over 55, giving them a chance to rebuild their lives and get back on track.  Supported by Kenthurst Rotary Club and the Hills Community Aid’s DV support project, work on the project is almost complete and the house is set to be handed over mid-August.  Congratulations to all involved for making this venture come to fruition.
