Celebrate Local at A Taste of Wisemans

Performers bringing on the cheer at the festival

The Spring Festival has arrived, bringing with it a celebration of fresh, local produce and community spirit by the picturesque Hawkesbury River. This year, the much-anticipated ‘A Taste of Wisemans returns to Wisemans Ferry Park on Sunday, September 28, from 10 am to 3 pm, showcasing the very best food, wine, and artisan produce from the northern reaches of The Hills Shire.

Part of the renowned Orange Blossom Festival, the event has become a beloved fixture for locals and visitors alike. Attendees can settle in at picnic tables and hay bales, wander through a vibrant marketplace, and immerse themselves in a day of festive entertainment and family-friendly activities.

More than 20 local businesses will offer their signature creations, from Finders Distillery and Karu Distillery to Esker Beer Co, Moorebank Vineyard, and Blue Mountains Liquor Co. Food lovers are in for a treat with Crosdales BBQ’s smoky American-style meats, Popi’s Souvla’s authentic Greek street food, Frankie’s Food Truck hotdogs and fries, Cholito Empanadas, and sweet delights from Yiayia’s Honey Balls and Tea-riffic Bubble Tea.

The day will also feature live acoustic performances, roving entertainers, and a photo booth to capture memories. For younger visitors, free activities including face painting, circus workshops, and craft stations promise endless fun in the open-air setting.

Community engagement remains at the heart of the event, with local emergency services, including the Rural Fire Service, on hand to share vital fire safety tips. Whether you’re sampling gourmet treats, enjoying live music, or simply soaking up the spring sunshine, ‘A Taste of Wisemans’ is set to deliver a perfect day of food, fun, and festivity by the river.
