Soroptimist International of Hornsby has raised over $5,000 with all proceeds of our raffle going to the Women’s Shelter. A huge thank you to all who bought tickets.
The Soroptimists International of Hornsby has been supporting the shelter since its official opening at the end of 2014. Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Women’s shelter provides crisis accommodation for women without dependents who find themselves homeless. As we know, homelessness can happen to anyone.
Women can find themselves in a domestic violence situation, suffer financial hardship, a relationship break down or many other contributing factors. Our other projects currently in progress are;
THE DISH
Our members are also involved in serving a 2-course meal at The Dish at Hornsby. The Dish is a community initiative that supplies meals for the homeless and those in need. We assist each month.
DAYS FOR GIRLS
A busy and committed group continues to support Days for Girls by raising money and making kits. This wonderful project supports improved health, education, and livelihoods for girls.

We usually hold our meetings at the Pennant Hills Bowling, but in lockdown, we have honed our skills and ZOOM when we are unable to meet face to face.
