At the Soroptimist International Region Meeting of New South Wales held at Pennant Hills Bowling Club on 22nd June, SI Hornsby club members celebrated 45 years of serving their community and being a member of Soroptimist International Hornsby.
Founded in 1921, Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement with a network of 65,000 club members in 118 countries. Advocating for human rights and gender equality, our membership work on grassroots projects that help women and girls achieve their individual and collective potential, realise aspirations and have an equal voice in communities worldwide.
The Region Meeting brought together members of clubs throughout New South Wales and the guest speaker was Nalini de Silva, a documentary photographer and civil engineer who inspired delegates with her talk on Networks of Circular Economy Villages. Visit polisplan.com.au for more information.
