The NSW Government’s Reducing Social Isolation for Seniors Grant Program is now open for applications until 31 March 2021. One-off grants of between $10,000 and $60,000 are aimed at local initiatives and projects that actively engage and reduce social isolation for older people. For information visit: www.facs.nsw.gov.au
CASTLE HILL ART SOCIETY RECEIVES $30K
It was recently my pleasure to announce $30,000 worth of funding for the upgrade of the Society’s building, including storage cupboards, much needed air conditioning and a water proof roof above the courtyard. This was a part of the $300,000 provided to my electorate in the 2020 round of the Community Building Partnership Grants.
GREEN LIGHT FOR $1 BILLION METRO TOWN CENTRE
The creation of the town centre in the heart of The Hills area will feature new homes, create more than 2000 jobs and provide the public with more open space, has been approved by the NSW Government. The new town centre will change the face of The Hills Showground area and serve the community for decades to come. This exciting new development will create homes, jobs and outstanding public spaces on the doorstep of a Metro station. The development includes upgrades to intersections of Showground Road with Carrington Road and De Clambe Drive which will be jointly funded by the NSW and Federal Government
