Saturday Afternoon Concert With Anna Chung
Life after Easter is like traveling along the Yellow Brick Road in “The Wizard of Oz”. Dorothy’s longing to return home reflects our own desire to be closer to God’s kingdom.
Easter reminds us that Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection have shown us the way to our true home, just as Dorothy’s ruby slippers hold the power to take her home. The road is not without challenges.
Dorothy faces struggles and fear, and our journey, too, is filled with difficulties like doubt, setbacks, or distractions that pull us away from God. But just as Dorothy has the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion to support her, our faith community strengthens us. Together, we learn to rely on God for wisdom, love, and courage.
Anna Chung, a young clarinettist, is following her dream to study in San Francisco. Like Dorothy, she is stepping into the unknown, facing obstacles but trusting in God’s plan. Her faith and dedication guide her closer to her goal, a life celebrating God’s gifts.
Faith is like walking the Yellow Brick Road. Even when the path is uncertain, God’s grace leads us home. Join Anna’s Saturday Afternoon Concert at Cherrybrook Uniting Church on 24th May, 3PM (Your donation of $20/adult plus will be greatly appreciated).
