Rotary Club Activity 2024
The Club’s annual book sale was held 8th-10th March, our most successful sale yet with proceeds going to Domestic and Family Violence Charities and other Rotary Charities.
Sixteen Club members attended the District Conference in Terrigal 15th-16th March along with another 330 Rotarians from the District. A great time was had by all.
Our Club won ‘Best Dressed’ at the Friday night dinner, the theme ‘Beach Party – Good Vibrations’. There were a lot of good quality speakers at the Conference including our past President, Janelle Craig who emceed the Saturday session. There was a Domestic and Family Violence awareness walk prior to the conference.
The Club’s Youth Night was held on 25th March and was well attended. Our incoming exchange student from Finland, Iisa, talked about her extensive travels over the past few months.
Two students talked about their experience at RYPEN in January. Another student attended the Engineering Summer School and a young adult sponsored by the Club attended RYLA and found the experience very inspirational.
Our Mother’s Day Market will be on Sunday 5th May 9am–3pm, at the corner of Shepherds & Macquarie Drive, Cherrybrook. Bring mum for some shopping and a bite to eat! All proceeds go to Domestic and Family Violence Charities, and other Rotary Charities. Stall sites are still available, contact us for more info.
