Queen’s Roses Illuminate The Hills

Illuminate the Hills

The rose-lined pathways of Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Garden will be transformed into a Christmas wonderland with the return of Illuminate the Hills.

The Baulkham Hills garden, which is located next to Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre, will be adorned with twinkling lights and decorated with festive installations.

“The rose garden is one of the most beautiful spots in the shire, and during Illuminate the Hills, the location will be showcased at a whole new level,” said Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi.

“Bring your family and friends to enjoy the rose garden embellished with thousands of glittering lights and Christmas displays.

“The opening night of Illuminate the Hills will be a particularly wonderful celebration, and you may even see Santa, Mrs Claus, Rudolph and carollers.”

Home to over 4,000 roses from 80 different species, the rose garden is one of the largest of its kind in NSW. The garden also features concrete pathways, making it wheelchair and pram-friendly.

Illuminate the Hills will open at 7pm Thursday, 30 November and the lights will be officially switched on by Mayor Gangemi at 7:30pm.

Visitors can view the lights every day until Tuesday, 2 January 2024. Please note the lights will be switched off each night at 10:30pm.
