The University of NSW Programming Competition is the premier event in Australia for senior students to test their programming and coding skills. It attracted 183 schools including high profile and selective schools, meaning the level of competition was very high.
Pacific Hills' team came 11th outright and received a Distinction for their efforts.
“It was great fun to be able to work in a team environment and solve complex problems. We stretched ourselves and had to think of solving problems in different ways.
I’d encourage any students that have an interest in programming to get involved in the competition in future years as it will help develop your programming skills”, said Year 12 student Jasper King. This result comes off the back of Pacific Hills qualifying for the State Finals of the prestigious national UNSW Science And Engineering Challenge for the second year in a row.
