In April, the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook returned to its home at the Cherrybrook Community Centre to a most successful meeting followed by many entertaining activities.
throughout the month, including the Premier’s Gala Concert and Castle Hill Players outing and a visit to the Museum of Fire at Penrith. While we have always enjoyed sporting opportunities of golf, lawn bowls, and walks this month, ten pin bowling was added and proved great fun and a trip down memory lane for some members who had not bowled for 30 or so years.
The highlight of the session was no injuries – we must be fitter than we realise!
Upcoming events in a full program include a social drive to the Wiseman’s Ferry area, exploration of Cockatoo Island, a walk through the Fred Caterson Reserve at Castle Hill, a visit to Lisgar Gardens at Hornsby and dinner at Enzo’s Cucina at Dural as well as the regular activities of book club, craft, happy hour and the investment group.
How could you not want to be a part of this! If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences, the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.
