Christmas in July proved a highlight among many fun events for the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook. An overnight stay at The Camden Valley Inn provided an opportunity to engage with the historical aspects of Camden, enjoy Christmas dinner, a visit from Santa and a testing of the grey matter with Christmas trivia. However life is not all about food and drink and members also participated in an energetic morning of Ten Pin Bowling, a great walk at Rouse Hill as well as regular activities of golf, bowls and tennis.
Our guest speaker Tom Sweeney from the Willoughby Theatre company tempted us culturally with his excellent talk, ‘Let’s Put On A Show’ and we look forward to seeing some of these productions to complement our current outings to Moulin Rouge, The Castle Hill Players, occasional Saturday night club shows and Dining Out with Friends.
As in every month craft, book club, cards and games and the investment group kept members busy.
If you are an able bodied, semi-retired or retired couple and have promised yourselves to get out, meet new people and have new experiences the Combined Probus Club of Cherrybrook could be for you.
