Last year’s extremely successful inaugural Penno High Winter Carnival attracted an impressive 8000+ participants, and coordinator Michelle Scott is planning 2023 to be even bigger and better, with new and exciting rides especially for the older kids.
There are exciting market stalls, Carnival Cafe, Buskers Corner and food trucks including Smokin’ Hot Dads and new local sensation, Jimmy’s Smash Burgers.
Carnival entry is gold coin (or tap) donation and will go ahead regardless of weather, so bring your beanie because once the sun goes down it gets chilly.
“We have more space this year so we can fit a whole lot more in… like the addition of Sweet Street full of dessert trucks, a Gamerz Truck, Rag Races and Jelly Eating Competition too. A jam-packed entertainment program finished off with the amazing Alto Mitsubishi Pennant Hills Fireworks display at 8.45pm, a family-friendly timeslot.
Local community group West Pennant Hills Rotary is running the sausage sizzle, and sponsors include Toyota Pennant Hills, Ray White Cherrybrook, Thornleigh & West Pennant Hills, Randall Electrics, West Pennant Hills Sports Club, 99 Bikes Pennant Hills, NumberWorks’nWords, Pennant Hills and Kwik Kopy Hornsby.
All funds raised on the night will go directly back towards resources that benefit students, teachers and the broader community that use our school facilities.
P&C President, Dayan McLeod is pleased the P&C will be able to run this event for a second year in a row.
“It’s wonderful to see our school community roll up their sleeves to pull this event together under Michelle’s leadership. We really are lucky to live in such a wonderful community, and we can’t wait to see everyone on the day,” Dr McLeod said.
The Penno High Winter Carnival will be held on Saturday June 24th from 3-9pm. For more information follow us on Facebook or Instagram or visit www.pennohighcarnival.com
