Newest Upgrades at Greenway Park Unveiled

The newest upgrades to the Greenway Park Precinct were recently unveiled in Cherrybrook. The Precinct is important sporting hub for the community and local sporting clubs, with families and club members young and old regularly gathering for local sport.

This upgrade includes changerooms, a canteen, club storage areas, public male and female toilets, and improved landscaping. These developments have been made possible through a combination of State Government grants and Council funding.

The Precinct is home to clubs including the Pennant Hills- Cherrybrook Stags, West Pennant Hills-Cherrybrook Cricket, and Pennant Hills Demons, which have thousands of members between them. Greenway Park also hosts thousands of players from other clubs who visit for their ‘away’ fixtures throughout the year.

James Wallace MP said “Government invests in sporting facilities for two big reasons. Sport is a magnet that brings people together and helps build a stronger community. It is also on the sports field that we teach our kids important life skills like hard work, being part of a team, resilience and caring about something bigger than yourself.”
