The new Withers Road Reserve in North Kellyville is a place to relax and reconnect with nature. Nature Getaway
The reserve and nature-themed play space was officially opened by the Mayor of The Hills Shire, Dr Peter Gangemi, on Saturday 19 August with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
“This park includes a playground and a half basketball court, a grassy expanses and pathways that are fantastic for walking, bike riding and scootering,” Mayor Gangemi said. The park is home to 300 trees, a haven for local wildlife, including birds, lizards, and insects.
The design of the play space was influenced by feedback from the community, resulting in a seamless blend of natural and playground elements.
Mayor Gangemi thanked those who contributed to outcome of this new reserve.
“It is a top priority of Council to roll out infrastructure upgrades faster for our growing population, and I am proud we have been able to deliver this at Withers Road Reserve.”
